With more than 20 years of experience in franchising and sales, Ms. Ludes has analyzed thousands of businesses to determine whether they have the viability to expand through franchising. Some of the companies with which she has worked include Amoco, Fruehauf Truck and Trailer, Van Heusen (Gant), Truckstops of America, Dairy Mart Convenience Stores, Parker Hannifin, and Kentucky Fried Chicken.

Ms. Ludes served in multiple capacities for a management consulting company that specializes in franchising. As Vice President of the sales department, Ms. Ludes was charged with selling face-to-face meetings with the company’s Senior Consultants. Additionally, Ms. Ludes was responsible for developing and implementing the first formal training for the company’s sales force. Under her supervision, the sales department scheduled a record number of meetings in 1997, resulting in record profitability for the company.

Ms. Ludes also served as Vice President and Senior Consultant in the firm’s Operations Department, where she examined the day-to-day workings of franchise businesses in exacting detail and then trained other Operations Consultants in that same process.

More recently, Ms. Ludes developed and implemented the qualifying and scheduling process for Texaco Xpress Lube franchises. In addition, she has consulted with other franchise companies, analyzing their sales processes and making recommendations for increased effectiveness.

Ms. Ludes has also been a part of the American Association of Franchisees and Dealers (“AAFD”) where she promoted membership to the organization and coordinated vendor participation in the AAFD’s Annual Convention. Ms. Ludes facilitated franchise recruitment for Connections for Community Ownership, a program to encourage minority business and job development through franchising.

Early on in her career, Ms. Ludes was part of a Midwest marketing firm that evaluated the quality control of a major international franchise company’s franchised operations. She has a background in education and business and holds a bachelor’s degree from Quincy College and a master’s degree from Loyola University.
